Chicken Bulgur

A Lebanese delicacy, chicken bulgur flavor is unforgettable. Nahla has never overlooked this rich ingredient both healthy and tasty.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 kg chicken
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups boiled chickpeas
  • 3 cups coarse bulgur
  • 500g small onions
  • 1 tbsp. margarine
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. caraway
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

Here are the instructions to do Chicken Bulgur

  • Step 01: Boil chicken, debone, and set aside. Reserve broth.
  • Step 02: Sauté onions in margarine. Add chickpeas, 2 cups chicken broth, 1 cup water, salt, cinnamon, and caraway. Cook for 10 minutes, then add chicken and simmer.
  • Step 03: For bulgur, boil 2 cups broth and 1 cup water. Season with salt and pepper. Add the bulgur and simmer until cooked.
  • Step 04: Serve the bulgur with chicken and sauce.
  • Step 05: You can pour the sauce over the bulgur or serve it separately according to your preference.
