- 1.5 kg chicken
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups boiled chickpeas
- 3 cups coarse bulgur
- 500g small onions
- 1 tbsp. margarine
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tsp. caraway
- Salt to taste
Instructions
Here are the instructions to do Chicken Bulgur
- Step 01: Boil chicken, debone, and set aside. Reserve broth.
- Step 02: Sauté onions in margarine. Add chickpeas, 2 cups chicken broth, 1 cup water, salt, cinnamon, and caraway. Cook for 10 minutes, then add chicken and simmer.
- Step 03: For bulgur, boil 2 cups broth and 1 cup water. Season with salt and pepper. Add the bulgur and simmer until cooked.
- Step 04: Serve the bulgur with chicken and sauce.
- Step 05: You can pour the sauce over the bulgur or serve it separately according to your preference.
