An original appetizer that can be prepared in advance and served for aperitif, as an appetizer, or before a main course.
Ingredients
- 500g chicken livers
- 1 medium onion
- ¼ unpeeled lemon
- ¼ cup white wine
- ½ tsp. curry
- ½ tsp. pepper
- ½ tsp. cognac
- Salt to taste
Instructions
Here are the instructions to do Chicken Liver Pâté
- Step 01: Cut the livers and onion into medium pieces and cook in a pan with a little oil or broth.
- Step 02: Add the pieces of lemon, pepper, and salt, covering and cooking over moderate heat for 10 minutes.
- Step 03: Pour in the white wine and remove from heat, allowing livers to cool slightly.
- Step 04: Grind the mixture until creamy, adding cold water if the mixture seems too thick.
- Step 05: Stir in the cognac and serve on toasted bread or in a bowl.
